I never heard of this guy but he really took a dedicated road to the NFL.
To those 49ers who don't survive Saturday's cut down to the 53-man roster, here are two words of inspiration: Tony Wragge.
His home-state university, Nebraska, didn't want him. The offensive lineman wasn't drafted out of New Mexico State, but he signed with the Cardinals in 2002. They cut him three times, the last on the final cut in 2004. After a successful season in the Arena Football League, he joined the 49ers in 2005. He thought he had made the season-opening roster - and was cut the day before the first game.
That fall he was on the shelf, working in the flooring, carpeting and tile departments at a Home Depot in Scottsdale, Ariz. He was the 6-foot-4, 310-pound guy who didn't need a fork-lift to move building materials around.
Instead of having the rug pulled from underneath him, he worked himself back onto the 49ers' roster by playing for the Rhein Fire of NFL Europa and winning a job in training camp.
Three years later, he's probably the 49ers' starting right guard. David Baas was expected to take over that position after returning from offseason surgery, but Wragge has played so well in the preseason that Baas has been switched, at least for the time being, to the left side in place of injured Adam Snyder.
"Whoever the coaches put in there, we're going to crank it up - fast, physical and intense," promised Wragge, 29. "When the offense is having fun, we're winning games."

Ed Roski's buisness partner expects a team by 2009
Of the 7 teams listed, which 2 seem most likely to you?
Chargers, Vikings, Raiders, Bills, Saints, Jaguars, or 49ers

And it doesn't involve dancing!
The budding war between NFLN and ESPN continues...the Network is now going to have a two hour pregame show that directly competes with ESPN's craptastic two hours (used to be good, it really did)

Good article 'mocking' the NFL's "new fan policy"

Good stuff.
I heart OJ McDuffie!
Even a former Dolphins player-turned-fan admits to getting carried away when Gang Green comes looking to rumble. During last year's Miami-New York game, O.J. McDuffie said he was almost ejected after being given five different warnings about toning down trash-talk with Jets fans who recognized him.
"I've got to give it back," said McDuffie, a Dolphins wide receiver from 1993 to 2001 who now has a front-row seat in the east end zone. "I can't just let that happen. Jets fans are the worst."
and I love this stuff about the NFL:
Philadelphia no longer has an in-stadium "Eagles Court" to help handle rowdies, but heaven help the fool who sports a rival's colors at Lincoln Financial Field.
Its funny that I have fear of attending Miami games in NE, Philly or Buffalo.
Hell, Ive been warned to never attend any Philly sport wearing the other teams' gear.

Different kind of "best" list. Combines great ability on the field with good things OFF the field.
(somehow I dont think Leonard Little and Ray Lewis made the cut)
